Immune System and Allergies Center

With changes in lifestyle and living conditions, a variety of allergies and immune system disorders occur.

Once the body’s immune system goes wrong, it causes myriads of diseases, such as respiratory system, skin, eye, and ear/nose/throat diseases. Among them, in particular, allergic diseases occur most often. Through pattern identification, which is characteristic of Korean Medicine medicine, such diseases are treated and the patient’s imbalanced immune system is set right. For children in particular, their immature immune system can easily trigger allergic diseases, which can be improved even with small amounts of herbal medicines.

In Korean Medicine medicine, immune system and allergic diseases have been classified collectively as “heo-jeung”(fatigue), which is closely related to herbal tonics. In modern-day medicine, each disease is controlled and treated differently, beyond the scope of herbal tonic-based treatment. The Immune System and Allergies Center has specialists in the departments of internal medicine, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, dermatology, and pediatrics, and provides customized care for individual patients.
